We are fortunate to have lots of space and plug sockets in both our café and extended seating area so feel free to stay the day and work with us.
Directions
By Bus
You’ll find us on several major bus routes. The no. 43 bus takes approximately 55 minutes from Piccadilly Gardens to Sharston Road. The no. 105 bus takes approximately 40 minutes from Piccadilly to Sharston Road.
By Train
Gatley is the closest train station, with only a 12 minute bus ride to the café. Stockport and Manchester Airport stations are also close with a 30 minute bus ride from each. Plan your journey with Trainline.
By Tram
Wythenshawe Park Metrolink is the closest tram stop, a 7 minute bus journey on the number 371 bus.
By Car
Based in the middle of the Sharston Industrial Estate, we’re just a 2 minute drive from the M56. We have free parking on site at the front and back of the premises.

Wythenshawe Park
With loads of places to walk, cycle, play and explore, Wythenshawe Park has it all. From the historic Wythenshawe Hall, community farm, playgrounds, tennis courts and football pitches, horticultural centre and much more, it’s the perfect day out for all the family.
Rock Over Climbing
Rock Over Climbing is a facility set up in Sharston, with loads of bouldering routes for different abilities.
Sharston Community Grocery
Next door to the Mess Café is our Sharston Community Grocery. This is here to help support local residents through the cost-of-living crisis with weekly food shops and courses. If you feel you’d benefit from using the grocery you are more than welcome to sign up.
Stockport Centre
This historical town centre is packed with shops, as well as lots of activities such as Staircase House, Stockport Museum and Redrock.
